Payment Methods
Rodavia connects you with local rental operators in Morocco. Payment happens in two stages: an advance payment when you book online, and a balance settlement when you collect the vehicle.
Booking Advance Online
The advance payment secures your reservation and is processed through our platform. We accept international credit cards issued by Visa and Mastercard. Debit cards may work if enabled for online purchases by your bank, though authorization holds can vary. The advance represents a portion of the total rental value; exact split depends on the rental company and vehicle category.
Balance and Deposit at Collection
When you collect the keys, the rental desk will settle the remaining balance and take a security deposit. Payment methods accepted at the counter differ by operator - some take cash (Moroccan Dirham), others prefer cards, some accept both. Your voucher states which methods the specific company accepts. The deposit is a hold or charge separate from the rental fee; it covers potential fuel shortages, toll receipts, or damage. Release conditions are in the voucher terms.
Accepted Card Networks

Currency and Conversion
The advance is billed in Euro or US Dollar depending on the rental company. Your bank applies its own conversion rate if your card uses a different currency. At the Moroccan desk, transactions typically happen in Dirham. Exchange offices operate at Marrakech Menara, Tangier Ibn Battouta, and Agadir Al Massira airports; banks in Gueliz and city centers offer competitive rates.
